America’s effects in the world now are that war is our last resort. The United States have spent years trying to disarm Iraq’s nuclear warfare through negotiation and peace talks. Saddam Hussein refused.

After the attack on the United States on September 11, 2001, President Bush made it clear that terrorism has become an ongoing issue that was obviously never going to subside.

There was a lot of controversy involving the Bush Administrations and their real intentions of attacking Iraq. There were rumors that oil was the main objective and that Iraqwas just an innocent country victimized by the United States greed for oil.

In the past, The United States did their best to bring down the homicidal dictators of the world. One example is Adolf Hitler’s “reign of terror” on the Jews in Germanyduring World War two. His idea of the perfect race was his one main objective and he did everything in his power to rid the world of “the brown rice in the enormous bowl”.

Why were we heroic then and tyrannical now?

Recently, the United States has spent most of their time trying to bring back North Koreato the six-party-talks. It is an agreement that they will disarm all of their nuclear warfare that would later become a threat to us, any other country, and themselves.

North Korea declared that it possesses a nuclear weapons arsenal and will drop out of talks giving it up. The declaration sent the U.S.and its parties searching for a way to reengage with the autocratic and isolated regime. North Koreahas an estimated two to sixteen bombs hidden away on their land.

The United State’s president George W. Bush and Russia’s president Putin both share a commitment to preventing terrorism and proliferation that threatens the two countries.

Both the U.S. and Russia have experienced terrorist attacks against their people on their own soil-something Bush said “I hope we never have to share again”-and recognize steps are needed to prevent future attacks. Bush told reporters “Putin clearly understands the stakes we face.”
